Did someone say Throwback Thursday? Well, we are going to bring you back to 2020, yep that’s right, the memorable year of 2020! We worked on a very significant project that never got the recognition it deserved. So, today we are going to put the spotlight on our amazing accomplishment and partnership.

Back in 2020, the GRM Custom Products team had the pleasure of working with engineers to fabricate a fundamental part of the new Oceanwide Center. This massive building is located in San Francisco, California, quite far from home. The Oceanside Center is an impressive multi-use high-rise building. Its features include office spaces, hotel rooms, and residential uses. All this is located within two massive towers that hover above a shared underground parking garage. Impressive right?

What’s even more impressive is how our FLUOROGOLD® Slide Plates played such a pivotal role in the success of this huge build. Our team worked closely with contractor Swinerton Webcor JV to bring this building to life with our slide plates. We worked for months to provide the highest quality products to ensure that the Oceanside Center would have the strongest foundation possible. Without our products being used in the depths of this building, the structural integrity and longevity of this project would be questionable.

Although our slide plates are not seen when the project is all said and done, they provide one of the most fundamental parts to keep the structure healthy for many years to come.
