FEATURES:
PTFE Slide Plates (glass-filled) are a reinforced PTFE material that has a low coefficient of friction, high creep resistance, high load bearing capacity and provides high wear resistance for the slow shifting of heavy structures. The glass-filled reinforced PTFE allows higher load bearing pressure with a slightly higher coefficient of friction in comparison to virgin PTFE. These slide plates are chemically inert and unaffected by weather conditions, good for temperatures from negative 320 degrees Fahrenheit to positive 500 degrees Fahrenheit. GRM Slide Plates are generally maintenance free when properly designed and offers a lifespan that can equal that of a given structure. Our slide plates are self-lubricating and requires no grouting or surface treatments to accommodate expansion, contraction, and other reciprocating motions of structures due to thermal, seismic, or differential forces. GRM slide plates can be combined with other products to offer acoustic or vibration damping. Design applications include bridges, cross beams and girders, vibration pads, air preheaters, tanks, pipelines, and drilling rigs, to unique thirty-foot skidways launching ships and an ingenious bridge slide to greatly eliminate down time.
